Career Day on the Shore, Tribute to Fab Four

What a Setting: The Newport County Co-op Mentor Group is holding a Career Day to match businesses with potential employees on Thursday at Second Beach in Middletown — if you're a candidate, it's probably safe to say that you shouldn't wear flip-flops.

No Mop-Tops Here: Local Beatles tribute band Abbey Rhode visits the Newport Art Museum on Wednesday, Aug. 14 at 6 p.m. for a PM Picnic. Bring your basket and enjoy the tunes. Tickets: $10 adults [$5 for members], $8 kids [$4 for members]. Call for more info: (401) 848-8200.

Visions in 3-D: The International Yacht Restoration School hosts its last event of the summer on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. with a 3-D Printer Summer Showcase. Industry experts talk, then attendees get their shot at making 3-D designs. Free.
