Hazard’s Beach Closed to Swimming

Hazard's Beach in Newport is closed to do to high bacteria counts

The Rhode Island Department of Health (HEALTH) has recommended has recommended the closure of Hazard’s Beach in Newport to swimming due to high bacteria counts. Sandy Point Beach in Portsmouth also remains closed to swimming.

Officials will make a recommendation regarding suitability for swimming at Hazard’s Beach and Sandy Point Beach when the areas are determined to be safe.
