Indiana Jones Screening in Ballard Park Bumped to Thursday
Rain postponed Wednesday night's screening by one day.

NEWPORT, RI—Tonight's planned screening of "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade" in Ballard Park has been postponed to tomorrow, Thursday Aug. 11, due to rain.
The screening was originally planned for Wednesday night but Rhode Island has been getting steady rain all day, making conditions less than favorable for an outdoor movie screening.
Other than the postponement to Thursday, all other details remain the same: the event begins at around 6:30 p.m. with the opening of the quarry meadow for blankets and picnicking.

The film will begin at around 8:00 p.m. at dusk. Before the classic Indiana Jones screening, the short film "Chateau de sable" by Quentin Deleau will be shown. It's a gift from the Flickers Rhode Island International Film Festival, sponsored by the Rhode Island House and Senate, and Ken and Tia Scigulinsky.
Smoking is prohibited in the park.

Ballard Park is located on Wickham Road across from Rogers High School. Parking is available along Hazard Road. Give yourself about 15 minutes to park and get to the quarry meadow as it's a ways from the road.
It's a good idea to bring a flashlight and wear something other than flip flops on your feet—the trail is rocky and uneven and steep at times.
The "Movies on the Rocks" concert series is sponsored by BR Arnold Construction, Cox, Howard Johnson Inn, Kiki Finn, National Grid, the Rhode Island International Film Festival, the Rhode Island Office of Film and TV and St. Clare Newport.
