Man Allegedly Runs From Police, Donut Jokes
The arrests were reported by the Newport Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

The Newport Police Department made the following arrests:
Derek Rivera, 25, of 140 Van Zandt Ave. Apt. 1, was arrested Sunday around 1:35 a.m. after he allegedly ran from police during a traffic stop. Police said he was pulled over after he almost hit a pedestrian on Touro Street. Officers reported said Rivera got out of the car and ran toward Long Wharf Mall, where he stumbled to the ground. Rivera allegedly tried to punch the arresting officer as he was placed in handcuffs. Rivera was charged with driving with a suspended license and resisting arrest.
Javier Juarez, 24, of 298 Auburn St., Cranston, Andrew Ramocki, 26, of 71 Hemlock Ave., Warwick, and Klaus Delia, 54, of 359 Thames St., were issued a summons for a noise violation. When police were leaving, they allegedly yelled out the window, “next time we'll have some donuts for you too” and “bacon, smells like bacon.”
