Man Carrying Hunting Bow, Arrows, Cited by Police
The following incidents were reported by the Newport Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Thomas Odsen, 44, 90 Girard Ave. Apt. #103, was issued a summons Tuesday around 10:30 a.m. after a witness reported a man wearing camouflage clothing was carrying a hunting bow in Miantonomi Park. Police found him in the north end of the park carrying a long bow, 12 arrows, a large fixed handle hunting knife and a BB gun. He allegedly told police he was target practicing.
Stolen IPad Returned
Kyle Bento, 28, of an unknown address in Newport was arrested in Tuesday at 10:45 a.m. for receiving stolen goods and obtaining money on false pretenses. He allegedly pawned a stolen Ipad at Fall River Pawn Brokers. Police said the Ipad, along with cash, was stolen from a residence on Kay Street on Oct. 22. Police were able to retrieve the Ipad from the pawn shop and return it to the owner.
