Man Tried to Punch Officer But 'Completely Missed'
The following arrests were reported by the Newport Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Joshua Jehan, 32, of 106 Sportsmans Hill, Madison, CT, was arrested Sunday around 3:00 a.m. on a disorderly conduct charge. Police were called to Waites Wharf for a report for a male laying on a car after stumbling around the parking lot.
Police said he became agitated and repeatedly said to the officer, “I’m gonna f... you up.” He allegedly tried to punch the officer, but “completely missed” and fell to the ground, face first.

Tuesday, June 25
Steven Robinson, 25, of 1913 Kingston Road, South Kingstown, was arrested around 1:45 a.m. on charges of a bench warrant out of superior court and a warrant out of family court. Police were called to Bayside Village for a report of a man and a woman fighting.

Syeisha Bouget, 21, of 7 Dr. Wheatland Blvd. Apt. 7, was arrested around 10:00 a.m. on a domestic assault charge.
Patrick Alderman, 29, 17 Fourth Street, Swansea, MA, was arrested around 2:22 p.m. on an active warrant.
Monday, June 24
Leon Sampson, 23, of 15 Meeting Street, Newport was arrested around 1:15 a.m. on charges of breaking and entering and willful trespass. A witness found Sampson in the kitchen at Perro Salado at 1:00 a.m. Sampson is reportedly a former employee of the restaurant.
Jill Magnus, 34, of 59 John Chaffee Blvd. Apt #209, was arrested around 3:10 p.m. on disorderly conduct and willful trespass. Police said she would not leave Newport Hospital.
Kirsten Santos, 21, of 195 Admiral Kalbrus Road, Apt #5D was arrested on charges of felony drug possession, driving under the influence and refusal to submit to a chemical test. Police said she drove through a stop sign at Spring Street and stopped quickly about a foot behind a police cruiser. Police approached and she allegedly said “I’m sorry I did not see you there.” She failed the field sobriety tests and was taken into custody. Police said they found narcotics in her car.
Sunday, June 23
Marc Washington, 18, 13 Homer St., was arrested around 1:45 a.m. on a noise complaint. Police were called to his residence for a report of a party.
Caitlin Aull, 27, of 143 Third Street Apt. #3J, was arrested on Sunday around 2:10 a.m. on simple assault charges. She allegedly assaulted another woman at Market Square. Earlier that day, witnesses said Aull was at the Landing, yelling racial slurts, throwing drinks at staff and guests and acting “crazy."
Paul Fennessey, 50, 265 Webster St., Cranston, was cited for an open container.
