Man Wanted For Newport Double Shooting Arrested: Police
Duane Logan was found in Warwick after evading police for two weeks.

NEWPORT, RI — A man wanted in connection with a February double shooting in Newport was arrested Tuesday, police said. Duane Logan, 46, was found in a Warwick hotel.
Logan was wanted on charges of conspiracy to commit murder since Feb. 14. The shooting happened around 1:15 a.m. The Friendly Sons of Newport. One person, 25-year-old Yordi Arevalo, was killed and another, Aroldo M. Noel Paniaqua, 30, injured.
Two people were arrested immediately after the shooting, Shamik Steele and Xavier Perry. An arrest warrant was also issued for Logan, who was wanted on charges of conspiracy to commit murder.

The Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force found Logan in the hotel and turned him over to Newport police. He was in Newport District Court on Tuesday, police said.
