Monday Essentials: BridgeFest, Night Out Against Crime

- Monday kicks of the 5th annual BridgeFest in Newport, which “bridges” the Newport Folk and Jazz Festivals with four days of musical performances along with film, dance and education.
- On Tuesday at 7 p.m., Bridgefest and Fifth Element present "The Miles Davis Experience" featuring Doug Wolverton and 5 members from Roomful of Blues
- The twelfth annual Newport Police National Night Out Against Crime is this Thursday at Easton’s Beach from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. Come out and meet Newport Patch Editor Olga Enger and watch her in the dunk tank!
- NewportFILM Presents Running From Crazy on the Rosecliff lawn this Thursday at 8 p.m. Live music by James Montgomery will precede the film. Picnics encouraged.
- A chance of rain is in the forecast for Monday and Thursday.
