Tuesday School Updates
Parent/Teacher conferences for Newport Public Schools have been cancelled. Class will be in session for Tuesday.

Community College of Rhode Island (CCRI) just announced that classes and activities at all campuses will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 12. The college will followthe Tuesday class schedule.

From the NPD's Facebook Page: The city needs your help. If you have a catch basin (storm drain) in front of your house and are physically able, please clear it of snow so the rainfall and melting snow can drain properly. This will be especially important if we get more precipitation this week. Thank You!
Parking Ban
The parking ban is still in full effect until further notice.
Trash and Recycling
There will be no trash and recycling collection on Monday, Feb. 11 and there will be a one day delay for the remained of the week to allow for snow clean up.
Forecast for Rain
It's going to get messy. The National Weather Service says there is a 90 percent chance of rain on Monday afternoon. High near 46 degrees.
RIPTA
RIPTA back in service on Monday. Park & Rides plowed, but some spaces may be blocked by plowed snow.
School Closings
- Newport Public Schools closed

Power Outages
Most Newport customers that lost power have been restored, according to National Grid. Less than 300 homes remain without power. They estimate full restoration by 11:45 p.m. tonight.
Across the state, 167,000 of 209,000 customers have been restored and most will have power late tonight. On Sunday afternoon, there were still about 100 customers without power.
