Newport Man Still in Hospital after Car Crashes into his Scooter
Terrence Moy, 57, suffered critical injuries after he was struck while riding his scooter by a 39-year-old Bristol man on West Main Road.

MIDDLETOWN, RI—Terrence Moy, 57, is still at Rhode Island Hospital after suffering critical injuries when a car crashed him as he rode a scooter on West Main Road on Wednesday.
Middletown Police Lt. Jason M. Ryan said Thursday afternoon that Moy's condition is not known at this time and the accident remains under investigation.
No charges have been filed against the driver, identified by police as 59-year-old Bruce Ayers of Bristol.

According to police, Moy was struck when Ayers began to turn his truck onto Chase's Lane from West Main Road.
Moy was airlifted by helicopter to Rhode Island Hospital after his initial ambulance transport from the scene to Newport Hospital.

Police continue to investigate.
The crash happened a day after a serious crash in Portsmouth, also on West Main Road.
Five people were transported to the hospital after that three-car crash, including two teenage boys who were passengers in a car hit head on.
