Newport Police Log: One Recent Arrest: No Citations

NEWPORT, RI — Police arrested one suspect Friday on an affidavit from a past complaint. Sheyliz Nevarez, 36, of Newport, was taken into custody at 4 a.m. on Girard Avenue when a patrol officer recognized her and knew she was wanted. Nevarez faces a misdemeanor charge for obstructing an officer on Sept. 8 at 9:12 a.m.
