Newport Police Say Pawtucket Woman Broke Into Cars

The cars were parked at the Gateway Center parking garage in downtown Newport.

NEWPORT, RI — Police on Wednesday arrested a Pawtucket woman who allegedly was breaking into cars. Melissa Plasse, 33, was charged at 10 a.m. with misdemeanor Larceny (under $1,500) from a motor vehicle and with Injuring or Tampering with vehicles. The cars were parked at the Gateway Center garage in downtown Newport.
