NEWPORT, RI—Families of young children planning to attend the pre-kindergarten fair this weekend at the Pell Elementary School take note: the event has been rescheduled due to the snowy forecast.The event, which was planned for the morning of Saturday Jan. 23, has been moved to Jan. 30.The fair offers a chance for families to see what educational opportunities are available across the whole of Aquidneck Island.There are booths, presentations, arts, crafts, snacks, singing, dancing and even a book sale and swap.The event runs from 9 a.m. to noon at the school, located at 35 Dexter St., Newport.
