Newport Summer Comedy Series: Bill Burr Returns and John Pinette is "Still Hungry"

Comedian of the Year Award winner and one of the hottest standup talents in America, Bill Burr and the hilarious John Pinette, who most comedy fans will tell you is the funniest standup comedian in America, returns to the Mattie Volkswagen Audi 13th annual Newport Summer Comedy Series on July 14 and September 1 respectively for what will be sensational shows at the Newport Yachting Center. Both are immense Newport favorites. Burr’s July 14 appearance will be his fourth on the Newport waterfront. His show last July was one of the highlights of the 2012 series. Pinette’s appearance on September 1 will be his third in Newport after smash hit performances in 2003 and 2011.

Pinette is a regular guest on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and The View. He has appeared in the Seinfeld finale and starred in two of his own Comedy Central specials. His latest DVD, “Still Hungry”, is receiving rave reviews. John is an American Comedy Awards Stand Up Comedian of the Year award winner. John got his first big break when he toured with Frank Sinatra. His latest DVD, Still Hungry is receiving rave reviews.

Burr, who grew up in Canton, Massachusetts has been selling out venues for two straight years including Carnegie Hall and theaters throughout Europe where he has played to standing ovations and great reviews in London, Copenhagen, Oslo and Stockholm. Bill, who can be seen regularly on Late Night with David Letterman and on Comedy Central, first gained notoriety for his recurring role on Comedy Central’s The Chapelle Show. He has become a Newport favorite after leaving sell out crowds rolling in the aisles after his last two appearances.
