Possessing A Stolen Gun; Selling Tobacco To Minors: Newport Police Log

Newport police say two people were charged with selling tobacco to minors and one was charged with the illegal sale of a concealed firearm.

NEWPORT, RI — The following people were arrested by Newport police between Oct. 25 and Nov 3.

Names of those arrested or the town they reside in were only omitted when not provided by police.

Oct. 25

12:25 p.m. — Tyjuan Carter, 29, of Newport, was charged with domestic simple assault/battery and domestic disorderly conduct.

7:15 p.m. — Kayla Amadon, 31, of Providence, was charged with misdemeanor conspiracy and misdemeanor shoplifting.

7:30 p.m. — John Schettino, 45, of Newport, was charged with disorderly conduct

Oct. 27

1:05 a.m. — Steven Cox, 64, of Newport, and Alan Alexander, 59, of Tiverton, were charged with being at beaches, parks, cliff walk closing.

1:27 a.m. — David Scott, 36, of Newport, was charged with obstructing an officer in the execution of duty and resisting legal or illegal arrest.

Nov. 2

8:33 a.m. — Abdul Khan, 57, of Middletown, was charged with licensee sale/distributing/delivering tobacco products to a person under 21 (first offense).

11:29 a.m. — Ihab Chamseddine, 55, of Tiverton, was charged with licensee sale/distributing/delivering tobacco products to a person under 21 (first offense).

12:45 p.m. — Haileigh Pacheco, 24, of Bristol, was charged with domestic willful trespassing.

Nov. 3

8 a.m. — Sullivan Feld, 21, of Warwick, was charged with possession of a stolen firearm, conspiracy, and illegal sale of a concealed firearm.

5:48 p.m. — Venancio Carrasquillo, 45, of Middletown, was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
