Resident Says Accident Occurred At 'Most Dangerous Intersection in Town'
After an accident Friday on Kay Street a resident says the intersection should be a four-way stop
A Newport Cozy Cab reportedly crashed into another vehicle as they were making a left at the intersection of Kay Boulevard and Kay Street Friday night. Airbags were deployed but no serious injuries were reported. Newport Police said alcohol was not considered a factor.
At least one resident said this accident could have been prevented with a four-way stop sign. The intersection currently has two stop signs.
“It is, by far, the most dangerous intersection in town,” said Ashley Ready. “I've seen many, many close calls there.”
