Scott Davis of Middletown Wins Lucky for Life

Scott Davis of Middletown hit the lottery big this week, announced the Rhode Island Lottery. He cashed in his winning Lucky for Life ticket worth $25,000 a year for the rest of his life. Davis said he might spend the money on a trip, bills and to take time off.   

This is the first lifetime win in Rhode Island since the game launched in March 2012. Davis chose the annuity option and the prize is guaranteed for a minimum of 20 years, but will continue to be paid out for the duration of his lifetime. 

He checked his ticket Wednesday at the Shaw's Supermarket located at 71 East Main Road in Middletown, where he bought the lucky Quick Pick. 

Davis purchased the winning ticket on October 19 at Shaws.
