Snow, Sleet, Rain All Possible Friday

Right now, forecasters are saying Newport will get a mixture of rain, sleet and snow.

For those of you who are hoping for a big snow dump on Friday, it's possible as of this morning. The italics are because, of course, we really don't know what's going to arrive.

Still, here's what the National Weather Service said for Newport for Friday:

Rain, snow, and sleet likely before 7am, then rain and sleet likely between 7am and 8am, then rain after 8am. Patchy dense fog after 1pm. High near 41. Breezy, with a east wind 14 to 21 mph, with gusts as high as 37 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New precipitation amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.
