NK Town Beach Reopened

The beach was closed for two days due to high bacteria counts.

The Rhode Island Department of Health has recommended the opening of North Kingstown Town Beach, Narragansett Town Beach, and Barrington Town Beach to swimming.

The following beaches remain closed to swimming due to high bacteria counts: Oakland Beach, City Park Beach, Conimicut Point Beach and Goddard Park Beach in Warwick, as well as Fort Adams State Park Beach in Newport.

Officials will make a recommendation regarding suitability for swimming at these beaches when the areas are determined to be safe.

Beach status may change on a daily basis. For up-to-date information about swimming at Rhode Island beaches, call (401) 222-2751 or visit www.health.ri.gov/beaches to use the department’s interactive beach map.
