Powerful Winds Cause Outages Across RI
Outages and downed trees could occur through Thursday night as a High Wind Warning is in effect until 9 p.m.

CRANSTON, RI—Power is out at the Comprehensive Community Action Program in Cranston.
It's also out for 3,405 other National Grid customers across Rhode Island as of 1:45 p.m. Thursday as high winds wreak havoc on the state's power grid.
There have also been reports of debris ending up on roadways, including a report of construction debris ending up on Interstate 295 in Johnston, where 444 customers alone are reportedly now without power.
Wind gusts have approached 60 mph, with a gust of 54 reported at T.F. Green Airport in Warwick.
The National Weather Service's High Wind Warning is in effect until 9 p.m.
