- A federal moratorium on evictions expired over the weekend, and a Pawtucket landlord is featured in a national story by the Associated Press. Gabe Imondi, 74, said he's out $20,000, and claimed that government rental assistance meant to keep tenants in their homes never came through. (AP)
- The Attleboro Animal Shelter says a driver in a gray pickup truck deliberately ran over five geese on Route 123, and that it happened Saturday afternoon near the water treatment plant. Other drivers had stopped to let the geese and goslings pass. (CBS Boston)
- Elsewhere in Rhode Island, a Coventry women was sentenced to prison Monday in connection with a deadly 2017 hit-and-run. Shannon Holden was accused of striking Sarah Balmforth in Exeter, and leaving the scene in her Jeep. Balmforth was an organic farmer and the daughter of a local veterinarian. (Patch)
- The demolition of the old East Providence High School has begun. The building will be torn down in phases over the next several months. (WLNE-TV)
- Rhode Island's tallest building — the so-called "Superman Building" in Providence — is headed for tax sale. The owners of the Industrial National Bank Building owe $440,000 from the fourth quarter of 2020, but they're chalking it up to an oversight. (GoLocalProv)
