  1. The Newport Beer Festival will be returning for its 10th year, bringing over forty craft brewers under one roof. Among the brewers in attendance will be Foolproof Brewing Company, whose taproom featuring 20 draft lines is located at 241 Grotto Ave #1 in Pawtucket. Tickets are on sale now for the festival, which will take place on April 30 at Fort Adams State Park. (Fun107)
  2. As schools prepare for students to return from break, some districts are forgoing mask mandates. In Pawtucket, only 34 percent of eligible students are fully vaccinated. Despite low vaccination rates, beginning Mar. 4, the decision of whether or not students must wear masks will be left up to Pawtucket parents. (WPRI)
