Fugitive Captured After Escaping Pawtucket Home Confinement: Cops
The fugitive was originally charged with gun and drug offenses, police said.
PAWTUCKET, RI — A fugitive who skipped out from his Pawtucket home confinement was captured Thursday, police said.
Francisco Herpin, 20, was arrested on a warrant by the Rhode Island State Police Violent Fugitive Task Force, police said.
The warrant charged Herpin with escape from custody — home confinement, police said, and he had been originally charged with the manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance, carrying a pistol without a license, assault with a dangerous weapon and possession of a firearm.

"Mr. Herpin was taken into custody without incident and turned over to officials at the Adult Correctional Institutions Intake Service Center," police said.
State police Maj. Kenneth M. Moriarty failed to respond to a request for further information on the case.
