• 2 arrested in deadly Times Square stabbing of Pawtucket man (wpri.com) — A young man from Pawtucket was fatally stabbed and beaten during a late-night fight near Times Square last month, and New York police have now arrested two Bronx men on murder charges. Authorities say 23-year-old Daevon Silva, described as a Pawtucket native, died after being attacked with a bat and knife, while investigators still work to determine what sparked the confrontation.
   

• Fios customers in Boston and Providence lose FOX channels (boston.com) — Pawtucket-area Verizon Fios customers are caught in a contract fight that’s blacked out FOX and NBC channels serving nearby Providence and Boston as of December 15. The dispute between Verizon and Cox Media Group affects key NFL, NBA, and college games, with both sides blaming each other while viewers are urged to seek alternative streaming options or switch providers.
