1. Pawtucket Police Department is warning residents about a traffic advisory for today. Beginning at 8 a.m. the Providence Half Marathon will begin in Providence and then enter the City of Pawtucket from Blackstone Boulevard, turn onto East Avenue, runners will then continue north on East Avenue, turn right onto Rhodes Street, turn right onto Pleasant Street, head south, turn onto Alfred Stone Riad and then return back into the city of Providence. Please be aware of traffic detours and plan ahead. (Facebook)
2. Want to be part of something uniquely Pawtucket? Then get your cameras out and start snapping pictures because the City of Pawtucket and The Camera Werks are proud to announce the 24th Annual City of Pawtucket Photo Contest! Twelve winning photos will be selected by a panel of local professional photographers and placed in the 2023 City Calendar. The theme is: “CELEBRATE ! Pawtucket.” The deadline for entries is August 5. (City of Pawtucket)
