Rhode Island's Governor's Cup Set For Centreville Bank Stadium

Brown and the University of Rhode Island will face off Oct. 3.

PAWTUCKET, RI — The 2025 Governor's Cup football game between Brown and the University of Rhode Island will be held at Centreville Bank Stadium in Pawtucket on Friday, Oct. 3.

Kickoff for the 43rd Governor's Cup is scheduled for 7 p.m.

Tickets will go on sale in August.

Rhode Island has won six straight in the Governor's Cup series. The Rams hold a 23-19 edge in the Cup, while Brown leads the all-time series 73-33-2.

URI's six-game winning streak is the longest for either side in the history of the Governor's Cup.

Home to the Rhode Island FC professional soccer team of the USL Championship, Centreville Bank Stadium officially opened on May 3. In addition to soccer matches, the The 10,500-seat stadium has hosted Major League Rugby matches.

The 2025 Governor's Cup with be the first football game held there.
