Louis Escobar reacted with joy Wednesday when Portsmouth's 375th Committee stopped by the farm to present a $270 donation.
The donation, collected in milk cans throughout town, will go towards the annual fireworks display Thursday night.
The 375th Committee raised nearly $1,300 for the Fourth of July display this year.
Escobar has hosted the fireworks display at his Portsmouth farm for more than 25 years.
