The cause of the fire remains under investigation, but all indications currently indicate an electrical fire, according to Deputy Chief Michael O'Brien.

No injuries were reported.

The fire occurred at an inconvenient time for responders. Firefighters were deployed at the Beast of the East rugby tournament and at the Portsmouth 375th anniversary Kite Festival.

"Crews commanded by Capt. Darryl Sieben, opened walls and pulled ceilings to extinguish the fire and prevent further damage," O'Brien said.

"Early estimates of the cost of damages are at $20,000."

West Main Pizza closed for the remainder of the day on Sunday. It is unknown when the business will reopen.

Tiverton Fire Department covered the Portsmouth Fire Station during the response.
