Obituary: Nathan Ryan Traibman, 34

Nathan Ryan Traibman passed away peacefully at home in Portsmouth, RI overnight on Friday, October 23, 2015 at the age of 34.

Nathan was born on March 6, 1981 in Newport, RI.

He enjoyed working on cars and spending as much time as possible with family and friends. He looked forward to helping his uncle set up for the Portsmouth, RI, July 4th fireworks. Nathan worked at Saccucci Honda and 401 Motoring Inc. for most of his adult life, and very much valued the time spent and relationships he developed at each place. Those closest to Nathan will say that he was always there for those he cared about, and was selfless to a fault.

Nathan is survived by his mother Terry Traibman of Portsmouth, RI, his father and step-mother Lee and Sandra Traibman of Warren, RI, his sisters Heather Traibman of Newport, RI and Nicole Traibman of Fayetteville, AR, his stepsisters Andrea Ash of Baton Rouge, LA and Caitlyn DeCastro of Somerville, MA. He also leaves his nephew Dominic and nieces Julianna and Amaiya of Newport, RI, and his maternal grandmother Theresa Lacerda of Middletown, RI.
Nathan was predeceased by his maternal grandfather Anthony Lacerda of Middletown, RI and his paternal grandparents Marshall and Beyla Traibman of Winthrop, MA.

A memorial mass was held Friday, October 30, 2015 at 5:00 PM at St. Elizabeth’s Church, 577 Wood Street, Bristol, RI.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in Nathan’s name to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 2350 Post Road, Suite 201, Warwick, RI 02886.
