Obituary: Raymond S. Oliver, 20

Raymond S. Oliver, 20, of Portsmouth, formerly of Coventry and West Greenwich, RI, passed away March 1, 2016 at St. Ann's Hospital in Fall River from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Born in Providence, RI, he was the beloved son of Raymond Oliver and Laura (Gear) Oliver. Raymond was a sophomore at Bristol Community College and was a graduate of Portsmouth High School Class of 2014. He was a member of the All Island Rugby team, the Portsmouth Patriots Football League, and the State Champion Coventry Rams Football Team.

Besides his parents, he is survived by four sisters, Tiffany Gear, Isabella Oliver, Nicole Oliver, and Natalie Oliver, and one brother, Nathan Oliver. He was a brother of the late Nicholas Gear and was the grandson of Carol Gear, the late Arthur Gear, Stephanie Oliver and the late Elmer Oliver.

His funeral service will be held Monday, March 7, at 10:00 AM in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Chapel, 2435 Warwick Ave, Warwick. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Greenwich. Visiting hours Sunday 4-8 PM.
