Portsmouth Police ID Drivers In Dump Truck Against Car Crash
The Monday, Feb. 5 crash happened on the Escape Bridge off Point Road. The cause is still under investigation, police said,
PORTSMOUTH, RI — Portsmouth Police have identified the drivers involved in last week's crash on the Escape Bridge off Point Road. Michael L. Cantor, 61, of Fall River, Mass., was driving the Ford Escape. He was trapped in the car and suffered serious injuries. Cantor was airlifted to Rhode Island Hospital. His condition is not known.
Tony Joe Medeiros, 25, of Fall River, Mass., was driving the dump truck. He was also taken to a hospital but was not considered seriously hurt. His condition is also not known.
The crash, which happened Monday, Feb. 5, around 9:45 a.m., is still being investigated.
