Portsmouth, Tiverton Residents On Alert For Sickly Red Foxes
The foxes are suffering from mange. Biologists from the state Department of Environmental Management say they may be more active times.
PORTSMOUTH, RI—Portsmouth police are advising residents red foxes may be more active in the daytime, due to mange. The condition impairs their ability to regulate body temperature and to hunt. The foxes have been spotted in Sea Meadow, Island Park and near the Hathaway School.
