Your Guide: Eastern RI 4-H Fair at the Glen

Don't miss out on the fun at the 45th Annual Eastern Rhode Island 4-H Country Fair at the Glen in Portsmouth this Weekend.

The family-friendly activities include dozens of games, performaces and contests that are sure to delight children and parents of all ages. The fair runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, July 20 and Sunday, July 21.

Admission costs $2.

On Saturday, the fair will feature exhibits from Sakonnet Martial Arts, Steppin' Out Dance Studio, the Bristol Audobon Society, the Town Howlers Square Dance and others. Performances by Lucky Bob Prop Comic and the Cindy Lane Band are sure to delight as well. Patrons can prove their skills at some of the many contests offered on Saturday as well. There will be a tractor driving contest, a pie throwing contest and a corn husking contest, among others.
Saturday evening's events will culminate with a barbeque chicken dinner at 5 p.m.

Sunday will feature an even wider array of events, including the outdoor exhibits like the 4-H horse show, open beef show, the 4-H animal parade, rabbit show, poultry show and the pet show.
