2 Arrested After 'Occupants' Flee Providence Crash On Foot: Cops
Police failed to specify how many fled the crash.
PROVIDENCE, RI — Troopers arrested two men after a Sunday night crash in Providence from which "the occupants fled on foot," police said.
The Rhode Island State Police issued a media release on the arrests that failed to mention how many "occupants" supposedly ran off from the crash on Interstate 95.
The release did say that Anthony Tobar Mazariegos, 25, of Warwick, and Price Alexander, 29, of East Providence were taken into custody following the incident shortly before 9:30 p.m.

Mazariegos was charged with leaving the scene of an accident, damage to attended vehicle, obstructing an officer in execution of duty and reckless driving, according to the release.
Alexander was charged with obstructing an officer in execution of duty, the release said.

Mazariegos was "processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released with a notice to appear in Sixth Division District Court," according to the release.
Alexander, who turned himself in at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, was "processed and held overnight pending morning arraignment at Sixth Division District Court, where he will be presented as a probation and bail violator.," the release said.
