There are no shortage of winter activities in the Providence metro area. One of Providence's most popular attractions is the ice bumper cars at the BankNewport City Center. The city is just one of only three places in the country to have them. If that's not your slice of pie, families can also take to the ice in skates.

Winter visitors can also see the AHL's Providence Bruins, the primary development team for the Boston Bruins, play at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center.

The city also boasts a red-hot restaurant scene, fashion-forward designers and shops, tons of public art, great museums, award-winning theater and more. To find out what else there is to do in the area, click here.
