  1. A 5K was held in East Providence on Sunday to honor the life of a local doctor. The Mark Palumbo Memorial University Orthopedics 5K run honored the renowned spine surgeon who passed away in Sept. 2019. Proceeds went towards the Tomorrow Fund, an organization benefitting children with cancer. (WLNE-TV (ABC6)
  2. The ACLU of Rhode Island is fighting the effort to overturn Rhode Island's Reproductive Freedom Law. The filing comes as organized groups of opponents of reproductive freedom across the country seek to restrict access to the procedure and overturn Roe v. Wade. “This case highlights the unfortunate truth that, as is the case in the rest of the country, the fight for reproductive freedom in Rhode Island is far from over," said ACLU of RI Executive Director Steven Brown.
