The Cafe to Hit This Weekend (And Every Weekend For That Matter)

contribute to the community and grab a free glass of the best cold brew around.

The Nitro Cart, founded in 2016 in a basement by owners Audrey Finnochiaro and Sam Lancaster, has become a “state-wide craze” that includes 1 brick and mortar store, 3 carts, and 30+ taps all slinging the same incredible nitro cold brew (and some pretty amazing espresso/mocktails.)

In January, The Cart collaborated with local business Dash Bicycle Shop to create a space where nitro could always be had. Located on Broadway, the Nitro Bar is open from 7-7 every day and provides a comfortable atmosphere for coffee enjoyers and enthusiasts alike.

But the Bar is far more than simply a cafe.

The space features many small-companies whose missions contribute to social movements: Honey For Haiti sold at the cash register funds the building of orphanages for children with HIV/aids. Suck Less reusable aluminum straws donate a portion of their proceeds to the Clean Water Action initiative that seeks to eliminate / lessen the amount waste in large bodies of water.

In June, The Nitro Cart utilized their space and platforms to raise money for children and families affected by the Family Separation policy. The weekend centered around the selling of goods with the #notonemore hashtag (a campaign to end gun-violence) that coincided with a print designed by Shore Creative. In the weekend-long event, $2,400 dollars was raised for RAICES (a lawyer/law firm in Texas that serves Refugees and Immigrants) and KIND (Kids in Need of Defense, a nonprofit organization that gives immigrant children the representation they need to face Immigrant court.)

The Bar is all of this and so much more and this Saturday, they're contributing again to their corner of the world.

The Nitro Bar and Suck Less are teaming up to lead a community clean-up for their west-side home. From 10am - 12pm on October 20th, patrons of the Bar will be able to fuel up with a free glass of nitro (as long as you bring a reusable cup!) and help out the community by reducing the waste on the streets.

Long story short: the Nitro Bar does not disappoint.

Participate in this Saturday’s community clean up at 10am (228 Broadway, Providence, RI).

Giving back to the community is free (and this Saturday, so is the coffee.)
