Connecticut Woman Shot To Death In Providence

PROVIDENCE, RI — A Connecticut woman was shot to death in Providence Thursday, police said.

Morgan Lynn Boss, 29, was found dead with a gunshot wound to her head shortly before 5 p.m., Kristy dosReis, the chief public information officer for the Providence Department of Public Safety, said in an email.

Boss, a resident of Vernon, was killed on Broad Street near Gallatin Street, dosReis said.

"The incident is being investigated as a homicide," dosReis said. "A suspect is in custody, and criminal charges are pending the outcome of the ongoing investigation."
