Cranston Man Possessed Cocaine: Cops

The Cranston man was wanted on a warrant out of Providence, police said.

PROVIDENCE, RI — A Cranston man was nabbed for possessing cocaine, police said.

Fabio Martinez, 32, was arrested Thursday on a warrant out of Providence on a charge of possession of cocaine, according to the Rhode Island State Police.

Martinez, a resident of Pontiac Avenue, was arrested by the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force, police said.

"Mr. Martinez was taken into custody without incident and turned over to the Providence Police Department," according to the state police.

State police Capt. Kenneth M. Moriarty failed to respond to messages requesting further information on Martinez's arrest.
