Here's how the votes shook out for contested races on the City Council, according to the State Board of Elections.

PROVIDENCE, RI — Almost all of Providence's polling places are reporting, giving a nearly clear picture of who will claim the contested seats on the City Council.
Only five wards in the city featured contested races, with most of those featuring a highly favored Democrat facing a third-party candidate (or two).

Rhode Island State Senate District 6
The Associated Press has called the race in Rhode Island's State Senate District 6 for Democratic incumbent Tiara Mack.
According to the Rhode Island Board of Elections, Mack is the leader with all 14 polling places voting on the District 6 race reporting.
Mack's name got more national acclaim than most of Rhode Island's State Senate candidates when, earlier this year, Mack went viral for a video of her twerking on the beach, summoning up a newscycle largely driven by conservative social media accounts and, yes, Tucker Carlson.
- Tiara Mack — 3,295
- Adriana Bonilla — 606
City Races
In perhaps the most noteworthy race of the cycle, Democratic candidate for Mayor Brett Smiley is running unopposed in the general election.
As for the council races, Susan AnderBois found herself in a tight heat with fellow Democrat Corey Jones in the primary. Since, they banded together to try and ensure that a Democrat wins the seat.
"I am so grateful to have the support of both Corey Jones & Bradly VanDerStad," said AnderBois.
"I loved getting to know Corey & Bradly through the primary and have met 1:1 with each of them since. We ended primary night together at Nathan Bishop, unsure what the outcome would be - but united in our love for Ward 3."
