Former Patriot, Super Bowl Champion Dan Koppen Named Football Coach At RI High School
Former Patriots center Dan Koppen will be the La Salle Rams' new leader, replacing, longtime Head Coach Geoff Marcone.

PROVIDENCE, RI — La Salle Academy, a Catholic school in Providence, has reportedly hired a former New England Patriot to be its next high school head coach.
Former Patriots center Dan Koppen will be the Rams' new leader, replacing, longtime Head Coach Geoff Marcone, who resigned after the 2024 season to spend more time with his family, WPRI 12 reported.
Koppen was drafter in the fifth round by the Patriots in the 2003 NFL Draft. He became the team's starting center from day on and played nine seasons in New England, winning two Super Bowls. He also was named to the AFC Pro Bowl team in 2007.

Koppen would finish his career in 2012 with the Denver Broncos, playing in 15 games and starting 12. He was going to play the 2013 season, but he tore his ACL in training camp and ultimately retired.
Koppen now resides in East Greenwich with his wife Amber. The couple had three children together.
