Intoxicated, Disorderly Vandal Arrested In Providence: Police

The Providence man was arrested after he was pulled over, police said.

PROVIDENCE, RI — An intoxicated, disorderly vandal was arrested following a traffic stop, police said.

Eliezer Martinez, 37, was pulled over on Candace Street in Providence shortly after 1 a.m. Tuesday, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.

Martinez, a resident of Providence, was arrested on charges of driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor and/or drugs, refusing to submit to a chemical test, driving with a suspended license, vandalism, disorderly conduct, and obstructing an officer in the execution of duty, according to the release.

"Martinez was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks and held overnight pending arraignment at the Sixth Division District Court," the release said.
