July 4 Fireworks 2022 In Providence

PROVIDENCE, RI — Cities and counties across the country continue to bring back many of the traditional Independence Day activities that were either canceled or modified the last two years. July 4 is just around the corner, so it's time to find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you in 2022.

We have all the fireworks shows, parades and festivals happening in and around Providence, so you can start planning now.

Mayor Jorge O. Elorza and the City of Providence Department of Art, Culture + Tourism today announced that the City’s annual Independence Day Celebration will return for the first time since 2019, held this year at India Point Park on Sunday, July 3 at 7 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

“We are thrilled to continue bringing back our most treasured summer events with the return of our spectacular Independence Day Celebration,” said Mayor Jorge O. Elorza. “I look forward to joining our community members at India Point Park to celebrate the Fourth of July together again.”

When: 9:30 p.m.

Gates open at 5 p.m., with live music from David Tessier's All-Star Stars, Luis Neves, MOJO Rising and Brendan Rush & Bella Hannah.

Where: Oakland Beach, Warwick

When: 9 p.m.
The fireworks display will be shot from Oakland Beach at dusk and last about 30 minutes. Spectators should expect delays on Oakland Beach Avenue. The show can also be viewed from City Park.

Where: Begins at corner of Chestnut Street and Hope Street and ends on High Street, between State Street and Bradford Street

When: 10:30 a.m.

Bristol celebrates Independence Day on both July 3 and 4. First, there's the firework spectacular over Bristol Harbor on July 3. And on the next day, the July 4 parade will start at 10:30 a.m. at the corner of Chestnut and Hope streets. Hope Street (Rt. 114) will be closed off beginning at 8:00 a.m., including Poppasquash Road. Beginning at 7:00 a.m., Chestnut Street, Naomi Street and Sherry Avenue will be closed to traffic. A parking ban along the parade route goes into effect the night before the parade.
