PROVIDENCE, RI — Among the class of players leaving Providence College after the 2022 season are two full career stars, and three transfers who were instrumental in the Friars' NCAA tournament run.

With their departures, the Friars have gone back to the transfer portal to find replacements for the upcoming year, but the future of the five departing players has yet to be determined.

Up first is the NBA Draft, airing on ESPN and ABC at 8 p.m. During the draft will be the initial step in determining the professional futures of A.J. Reeves, Al Durham, Justin Minaya, Nate Watson and Noah Horchler.

None of the five are projected first round picks, according to draft boards from most major sports sites, including ESPN, The Athletic, The Ringer, CBS and Bleacher Report. Most of those same boards don't have them listed among the top-50 players in this year's draft

Of course, that won't be the end of the road for them. International basketball, as well as landing a spot on an NBA Summer League Team, or with a G League team, are possible following the draft.

Workouts with pro teams and preparing for the next step have been filling time for the five former Friars.

Noah Horchler was an attendee at the Tampa Bay Pro Combine, and impressed with a line of 10 points and eight assists.

According to NJ.com, Justin Minaya has gone through a number of workouts with NBA teams, including his hometown New York Knicks. Minaya's father, Omar, is the former general manager of the New York Mets.

A.J. Reeves, a New England native, is reported to have worked out with at least his hometown Celtics, as well as the Philadelphia 76ers.

Ian Steele of ABC 6 reports that Nate Watson has worked out for the San Antonio Spurs, while Brendan McGair, a YurView New England contributor, said workouts were also scheduled for Memphis and New York in the lead-up to the draft.

Al Durham returned home to Georgia to workout at The Skill Factory.
