PROVIDENCE, RI – City staff and visitors are now required to wear face masks in city buildings and city workers must provide proof of vaccination against COVID-19, officials announced this week.

Providence employees will be required to be fully vaccinated by Oct. 1, WJAR reported. Those who are not fully vaccinated will be required to submit weekly negative test results.

Municipal buildings have hand sanitizer, plastic barriers and traffic flow signs to enforce social distancing.
