PROVIDENCE, RI — A Providence casino cheat's luck ran out when he was arrested Friday, police said.

Cesar Gomez Paredes, 30, was taken into custody by the Rhode Island State Police Gaming Enforcement Unit, the state police said in a media release.

Paredes was arrested on a warrant charging him with casino cheating — place, increase, decrease, bet, or attempt to, with prior knowledge of outcome, according to the release.

Paredes was processed at the Lincoln Barracks, arraigned and released with a Third District Court date, the release said.
