Providence Crank Caller Captured: Cops

PROVIDENCE — An crank caller was captured in Providence, police said.

Devin Martins, 25, was arrested Thursday during a traffic stop and charged with crank and obscene phone calls and domestic-disorderly conduct, the Rhode Island State Police said.

Martins was wanted on a warrant out of Central Falls, according to the state police.

Martins was "transported to the State Police-Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed and later turned over to the Central Falls Police Department."

Neither State police Capt. David Bassignani nor Central Falls Police Chief Anthony J. Roberson responded to a request for further information on the case.
