Providence Man Caught With Clonazepam: Cops
The Providence man was arrested during a traffic stop, police said.
PROVIDENCE, RI — A Providence man was caught with clonazepam during a traffic stop, police said.
Raymond Grundy, 44, was arrested shortly before 3 a.m. Tuesday on charges of possession of clonazepam and receiving stolen goods, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.
Grundy was pulled over on Hartford Avenue in Providence, according to the release.

Clonazepam is used alone or together with other medicines to treat certain seizure disorders, according to the Mayo Clinic.
Clonazepam is a benzodiazepine, which are medicines that "slow down the nervous system," the Mayo Clinic website said.

Grundy was processed at the Scituate Barracks, arraigned and taken to the Adult Correctional Institutions Men's Intake Center, according to the release.
