Providence Man Indicted For 'Disturbing' Child Pornography Possession: Feds
The Providence resident had numerous child sexual abuse material images and videos on his personal devices, the U.S. Attorney's Office said.
PROVIDENCE, RI — A Providence man was charged with possessing "disturbing" child sexual abuse material images and videos, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.
Juan Acosta Gomez, 21, was indicted Wednesday by a federal grand jury on a charge of receipt and possession of child pornography, the U.S. Attorney's Office said in a media release.
Acosta Gomez, a Dominican national, came to the attention of authorities in October when the Rhode Island State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force "received a report regarding disturbing CSAM images being uploaded to devices belonging to the defendant," according to the release.

A search of Acosta Gomez's home and the accompanying investigation turned up "numerous" child sexual abuse material images and videos on his personal devices, the release said.
