PVDonuts Owners Selling The Popular Providence Donut Shop

PROVIDENCE, RI— PVDonuts in Providence is for sale, owners Lori and Paul Kettelle said Monday.

In a social media post, the owners of the popular gourmet donut shop confirmed their plans to sell the business they started in 2016 as a pop-up at the dessert shop Sin. PVDonuts eventually opened its own location in Fox Point before moving to a bigger location on Wickenden Street earlier this year.

"We've thought about this on and off for a few years, and what finally drove us to this decision all came down to mental health and matters in our personal lives," the Kettelles said in an Instagram post. "We're also at a different place in life since we started PVDonuts, and it's taken us a long time to accept it."

The owners said they decided to sell PVDonuts, rather than close shop, because of its popularity and opportunities for growth.

"We know that PVDonuts has so much more potential, and were even planning to open another location or two, but then reality hit us, and we know that as its current owners, we aren't going to be the driving force behind a move like that," the Kettelles said.
